Employment Support & Advice
Opportunity Lambeth is working with the DWP and partners to urgently advertise employment opportunities for local people, both on the website and
through a regular newsletter to providers.
To register for employment support, please call 020 7926 0500 or go to Opportunity Lambeth - Support and Click on the 'Get Help' button . This will take you through a short registration and a few simple questions; you will then be contacted by one of the team to make sure you get the help you need

The following advice services can provide free independent, confidential, impartial advice about debt, money and welfare benefits (including a benefit check). Services are currently either online or by telephone:
Food Banks
If you are struggling to buy food and need some help, please contact your local food bank. Lambeth
Larder can also support with emergency food, advice and support.

Redundancy Support
To get support and advice about claims for redundancy, loss of notice pay, holiday pay, arrears of wages, protective award payments and lost pension contributions, contact Redundancy Payments.The helpline (0330 331 0020) is open 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm Monday to Thursday, and 9am to 1pm on Friday.

Tree Shepherd
Tree Shepherd are offering ongoing virtual and telephone business clinics and are setting up calls with business mentors to provide advice for businesses

Support for self-employed
The Government has announced a package of support for self-employed people affected
by the impact of Covid-19. Those who are self-employed may be eligible for a taxable grant worth 80% of their trading profits, up to a maximum of £2,500 per month for the next 3 months.
Further support from the Government could include claiming Universal Credit and deferral of payments for self-assessment income tax payments.
The self-employed may also qualify for help with business rates and other grants as part of the council's Business Support programme
